Default Detours Off-Road Backbone (winch plate)

Here is my thread in the rig builds, but I thought I would also put one here.

Overall, I really like it. You use your stock bumper, with some cutting done to it. The plate bolts up with six bolts per side, and three of them are the steering box. It comes primed, so you can pick your own color. Installation was really easy by myself with my son "helping". Probably would take two guys about 2-3 hours. Comes with bolts, but I had to go and get some because a had used some for other things.

It is made out of 5/16 plate, and the welds look nice, and have good penetration. All of the holes come pre-drilled, and were right on. It has two d-ring mounts, so you also gain recovery points. All of the stock plastic fit right back on with no modification. When you put the stock bumper skin back on, it hides the two rear bolts.

I some how did not get a picture when I was all done, but at this picture, all I had left was to put the plastic back on.

you should post up finished pics. I really like that setup, but was worried if i ever got into an accident that it might bend or smash...so decided to go with a jcr bumper. Not to mention i never got a winch but its a nice setup.

If the 5/16" plate bends in an accident, I think you will have worse things to worry about.

I think this is the same setup that Cherokee666 has been running for quite some time now as well. Looks like a nice setup.
