Question Lake County, Illinois

Hi. I'm Carl Falk, out of Lake Zurich, Illinois, Lake County. Does anyone know of any LEGAL offroad areas in & around Lake County? Such as sand pits, mud, hills, farms, trails, etc? I have an '08 FJ & a '76 FJ 40. TLCA Member 14525. I sometimes can be reached on Ham Radio at 147.535 FM. My call is N9SMJ. Thank you!

I wish I knew. The only one I know of that is anywhere near is http://www.thecliffsinsaneterrain.com/# Not exactly near you. If you find out about some place closer I'd love to hear about it. I hope to have my Jeep trail ready within a month or so.

BTW I'm AC8KD but I never got around to mounting the 2-meter in the Jeep.

Hey fellow IL wheeler! I've only been to the Badlands in Attica and the Cliffs in Marseilles. I was talking to a buddy at the Wickstrom Jeep and he said there's some public land off rt. 14 near Woodstock. It's gravel and sand pits. There's only a "No Dumping" sign out there and he takes his TJ out and people play around with their quads all day long -- no issues. Sorry idk the exact loc. but if you checked it out I'm sure you could find it.
