I don't know what's more sad. I brought it up or your comment.

I prefer to work alone the vast majority of the time, even when it's twice as hard to do it on my own. If I need help I'll get it but usually when people are around it's to drink beer and not do anything productive.

No Hanson on my playlist. I do have one playlist that has some hip/hop rap on it that people were busting my balls for playing at the mustache run.

Usually I prefer to work alone also, I'm pretty picky about my stuff but when your pulling a Dana 60 it's nice to have another set of hands.

And no I don't discuss my "feelings". Lol

Usually the only time I get "help" is when I don't need it, with the exception of my Dad. He's a go-getter but runs out of steam around dinnertime. I already dug 4 holes and planted fruit trees in them this morning. Most people I know aren't up yet.

There are a lot of people that I only see when they want to work on shit in my garage (which usually involves around me working on their shit in my garage). That has been thinning out also though as people keep buying Ford, Fiat (Chrysler), or foreign so I don't work on it. It's been pretty quiet around here since last fall.

I don't really miss it. But I can't blame the garage being a mess on anyone else.

I was standing outside of the Michigan WORKS office with a sign offering $14/hr cash, still couldn't get help.

I would rather work alone. Help is usually a distraction, especially when the boss comes back and plays 20 questions and I forget where I left off.

Usually the help I get I don't want. There are few people that I want to help out but I will help any of my friends. I just wish some of them were more knowledgeable in the areas that they want my help.

My friends live to far away and all have full time jobs and families. But your right just some conversation would be nice. Or a baby sitter to keep me focused. I hit the wall on the buggy and struggling to work on it.

An extra set of hands and eye's can be helpful, 2 friends and I have been helping each other work on our vehicles for 20yrs, didn't matter what it was car, truck, quad, boat etc. 1 of us was there to help the other, even with kids, jobs and all the other bs. Anymore than 2-3 guys in a shop is too many we've found. More than that and it turns into a party
