Cool old video! Ive never been to Sleeping Bear dunes. I was always told no vehicles were allowed on it? Obviously the video is back when it was legal im guessing. Pretty sweet to see the shoreline before Mighty Mac was up too.

Does anyone know what year they stopped having vehicles at Sleeping Bear? I swear I remember them from when I was very little.

I don't know the exact answer, but seems to me when I was there back in 1975, the only vehicles where the ones from a ride company like Mac Woods or Wild Bill's, they had an area to drive them there just like Mac Woods does at Silver Lake, I don't remember any other vehicles, but I was only 6 so I don't know if that was just the spot we went to, or the whole dunes.

In 1975 I was 3, so that's about right. As I recall (again, very early memories) they were maybe 4 or 6 seat vehicles though, not the big Internationals like Mac Woods has.
