Not for that specifically; but the majority of welfare checks are put onto a persons EBT card, which is how they can use the "cash" side of their card for fast food, parts, tobacco...etc

We had a woman do that at the Kroger I work at. She bought a shit ton of pop with her ebt and tried to return all of the cans, but here's the kicker...DIDN'T EVEN POUR IT OUT. She left a hell of a mess behind when she got kicked out. Thank god I'm in the meat department so I didn't have to personally deal with all that shit.

I was behind someone in the checkout line here in Illinois that was using some type of public assistance to pay for his things. He had a bunch of slips that listed specifically what he was allowed to get, even down to which type of tortillas he was allowed to buy.

It sure made the checkout line slow, especially when he had to go back and get different tortillas, but I'm sure it cut way down on abuse.

The WIC (women's, infants, childrens) program is like that. It spells out everything. I think a system like that would be better. The other problem that I have with the system is that it is cheaper to buy all the junk then it is to buy good foods.

Fast food places qualify for seniors. There is a lot of restrictions on that.

Oh, and I am calling b.s. on that receipt. It is not called food stamps anywhere.

Back in the day they used to have to pay cash for the deposit.
I've heard that there is something in the works to remove soda from the allowable purchase items. I hope this is true.
They have already taken energy drinks off the list of things that can be purchased with the EBT card.

My wife was in line getting ready to pay for her items(with cash like always)when a younger black girl came into the line and asked her if she was paying for her stuff with cash.Which she already knew due to seeing the money in my wifes hand. She then asked her if she would like to buy some of her assistance aff from her EBT card.
Now my wife only goes in that store if I am with her.

That store is horrible. I used to shop there for years. I grew up in the neighborhood. If your wife insists on shopping at Krogers by herself, I would go to the one in Holt or the one on West Saginaw by Kohls. I never let my wife go to the Southside one.

The wife and I couldn't stand the Southside Penn Meijer either.
Even though we lived 2 miles down the street, we drove to the one in Grand Ledge when we had a lot of shopping to do
South Penn Meijers is always so dang busy with idiots clogging the aisles

I got into it with a lady at meijer who was dressed lavishly in a leather coat and club dress betsy Flannigan stockings and a coach fucking purse and whipped out a bridge card to buy fancy food and home goods. I got really vocal and she said "you don't know me" I said yeah I do... you're a whore cause you fukc everyone to get your cash. She kindly replied "you an asshole"

Just do what I did and join them ala sticker put over top of my personal debit card. There are three of us where I work that had these made and we use them everywhere. The jokes getting old though since everyone in town knows that they are not real bridge cards anymore, so it kind of takes the fun out of it.
