An hour later I had about 200 calories worth of trail mix (non paleo m&M's, sunflower seeds, raisins, peanuts) an apple, and a banana.

For lunch I have 8oz grilled chicken breast, 2 boiled eggs, 1/2 cucumber, mixed greens salad, mild peppers, etc. all mixed up

My portion sizes are typically huge, espescially on the side of the veggies, fruits.
Paleo/Keto is the shit.

I don't count calories, that's too much fucking work.

Lunch was hamburger sliders minus the buns, with some raw almonds, and water.

I've been eating a lot of guacomole mixed with tuna, and dipping cucumber slices in it for a small lunch or snack.

Basically, I stay away from grains, most beans, seed oils, carbs, and that's about it.

Lots of bacon, butter, good fats, and other delicious things.

I'm down 25lbs since Feb. 27th.

It is a lot of calories, not necessary for most people I'd say.

In the warmer months I run about 6 miles a week (typically i do a 2.7/8 mile loop near my house 1-2 times a week).

I mountain bike at least 15-20 miles during the week, and either an additional 20-40 miles on weekends, or I race or practice DH somewhere which is usually an all day event both days.

I weight train 3-4 times per week, typically 2-3 crossfit like workouts for 30-45 minutes, and 1-2 times per week in a slightly more traditional sense but focus on the core powerlifting movements.

I move around a lot.

I don't count my calories much unless I don't like what I weigh. I try to be around 175lbs, but still trying to get my % BF a bit lower.

Take a chicken breast and butterfly it then mash it thin with a rolling pin or meat hammer.

lay in some spinach and other fruit or veggies (I like mango or pineapple with spinach or broc)

Roll it up and put a couple toothpicks in it.

Put it in the oven on 350 or something till its done.

Then shove it up your ass for instant calorie absorption.

Yea you defiantly get around

Eating right isn't a huge problem for me, it's finding time to exercise. Working and going to school full time takes up most of my week. Props to ya for maintaining a pretty religious workout pattern

Nothing looked weird about that recipe?
Now, maybe if you had some liver in there I would maybe allow you to call it weird but still.

lol.

Nothing weird in it at all really, but the combination seemed really weird to us at first. Didn't think it was going to be very good, but we both love it.

Out of curiosity I logged the above to see calorie and macro counts. Without knowing the ingredients in the protein shake the totals are ~ 1844cal, 81.73g fat, 85.67g carb, 192.77g protein.

Damn. My daily protein goal is 120-150g. Post up your dinner and any post-lunch snacks. I'm curious to see the numbers.

Protein shake is 170 calories, 30 grams protein, plus 8 oz milk, 1 banana, and 1 tablespoon peanut butter.

so far after lunch today i have had another cup or so of trail mix and I ate 2 apples, a banana and I had a tin of tuna.

I aim for 1.5-2 grams of protein per pound. I weigh 173 as of this morning.

Dinner tonight is meatloaf and green beans, maybe a sweet potatoe. Serving size of meatloaf will probably be 3, 2-3 servings of green beans, and sweet potatoe will probably be 2 servings (if you want to look up the calorie numbers)

Before bed I will eat some sort of fruit and probably some beef jerky or a boiled egg or something similar.

Holy shit that's low. I'm between 350-400 a day, depending if it's a lifting day or not. I can't imagine being that low, I'd be starving.

Fruit before bed? You don't have issues with the sugars causing fat gains?

I don't put much thought into it as far as some small amount of fat gain I may get from eating some fruit before bed. I'm 5-10 173, my bodyfat was under 13% last time I checked. I started on January 1 at 185 20+% BF, i was as low as 165 before I upped my calories and added a day of heavier lifting.

I am not worried about a small amount of fat gain, I am not preparing for a bodybuilding show or a physique judging.

Minimal unless you're considering fruits in the form of juice, fruit snacks, fruit favored artificial or refined sugar.

With a balanced diet full of protein, fats, and consuming the full fiber with the fruits, one serving of fruit it's hardly anything to be concerned about for the average healthy person.

Besides if you're trying to tame a sweet craving it's better than most alternatives.

Last night my mom made boneless chicken breast covered with bacon, then swiss cheese. Sliced redskin potatoes (thick slices) backed with a little bit of EVOO, then some garlic on them (I think). Then a foil basket of sliced squash, zucchini, onions, and mushrooms on the grill sprinkled with parmesan cheese. YUM!

Also, the other night, she grilled asparagus on the grill. Let me just say, it tasted better than some steaks I have had. Maybe because the grill is 'seasoned', I don't know, but the asparagus really tasted like steak. It was amazing! Nice and crunchy. A little softness, but not soggy like you get if you steam it for too long.

Some of the protein intake I am seeing here is a little scary. Consuming that much protein for long periods of time can put a strain on your liver. I was doing a high protein diet and my liver and kidney counts went through the roof. Now admittedly my kidney and liver were both a little damaged from the pills I took for my heart problem but nothing else has caused that kind of spike.
I have a lot of healthy recipes but they are all vegetarian.
I personally do count calories because it's the easiest thing for me with the app I have on my phone. I eat a lot of vegetables and I bulk almost everything I cook with veggies because they are high nutrition and low calorie. Also Mike and I almost never get sick. i never had a cold even once this winter and I think it's due to the vegetables since I don't take any crazy supplements or nutrition boosting shakes.
