Yes

but I will have to get the details and get back to you.

Place is awesome and the neighbor is too, we partied with him last summer.

Its actually on the canal between the two lakes but a short ride to either.

We rented a pontoon for the weekend.

And it's probably super close to Shorts.

Torch is very expensive, but any cabin on a lake is worth lots, shit one of my neighbors was renting his really small cabin, 1 bed 1 bath on our lake for $700.00 a week and people were paying it! Our end of the lake is nothing really but muck after 2 feet into the water so there was a nice beach with a less than favorable lake. I couldn't believe how many people rented it. My garage is larger than this cabin.

Yes and yes. I know they get a pretty penny for rentals and real estate there.
I guess $2900 a week is a lot of money to me no matter where you stay.

I actually rent a cabin on Waloon Lake every year, where prices are also very high. It seemed I searched every single rental on that darn Lake ,and was very fortunate to find one for under $1000/week.

You did very well if you go on Walloon for under $1000/wk

Yeah, I have vacationed up there for 18 years. I was never able to afford a cabin on the lake, so I would stay at the old Dickson lodge and just unload my boat everyday down on Grueler. We spent a lot of time boating around and came upon this rental. Heck you can't even touch a rental in town a block away from the lake for what we pay.

True that, I live 1 mile from Walloon and will vacation elsewhere due to cost

I can't help much with rentals, everyone I know with rental cabins are usually booked, I'll ask around though.

With the Bellaire cabin listed above, where is it? The map shows somewhere in Florida, so that doesn't help. You mentioned it's between the two lakes. What two lakes? And there are no canals, just lakes and rivers. From the south of Torch Lake would be Torch River leading into Lake Skegemog, dumping into Elk Lake, and from the east ( in reverse to water flow), Clam River leading into Clam Lake, then Grass River leading up to Lake Bellaire and continuing north.

I don't know the area like you obviously do, it was my first time there.

From the listing

Waterfront : Home is located in woods with a 400' long boardwalk that leads to an incredible view of the Grass River and surrounding wetlands. There is a 50' dock for your boat & a 10x12 deck at the rivers edge. You can boat to Torch Lake, Lake Bellaire, Clam Lake, Elk Lake, and Skeegmog.

On the Grass, so pretty close to Lake Bellaire. I'm not sure what docking options are available in Bellaire, but yea, that would be a fairly short trip to Shorts for some evening beverages and entertainment. The Bellaire bar or south to the Dockside would be easy too. Assuming a rented pontoon, Alden wouldn't be to far, although if the wind kicks up there are some gnarly waves just out of the river that would suck to roll into on the way home from the Alden Bar. For a daytime trip, anywhere on Torch Lake wouldn't be an issue, although making a trek to Elk Rapids for dinner would leave you with quite a ride home and several places that the weather changes.

If possible, and water fun is the plan for the weekend, I'd suggest somewhere on the bottom of Torch Lake, on the Torch River, or Lake Skegemog, as that area is much more centrally located on the lower chain, and lets you easily get to Elk Rapids, Alden, or Dockside, with Bellaire still being doable. It also gives you better options for lake conditions. If Torch is rough, slip down the river and you'll find most of Skegemog fairly flat.
