it's hard enough to process that he's gone. the how/why doesn't make it any easier to process or accept. it only makes things more unsettling.

I dont come on here much anymore but My prayers to the family and friends of the young man that was lost.

If I may say one thing as it might help others when my nephew died at the age of 14,there were a lot of kids/young adults that never experienced the loss of a friend or loved one and with it being some one of there own age it makes it that much harder.

The youth pastor that was part of my nephews church pulled all these younger people in a room (per my request as I didn't have it in me to talk) and he used the tragic loss as a window of opportunity to let everyone young and old that in life, things happen for a reason we dont always know but while on this earth you can travel left or travel right(not political) but in your heart you know what is the correct direction to travel and make the best of what life hands you.

So when you look forward just remember what way should I go? let your heart do the driving and god will be there next to you.

Again so sorry to hear of the loss My prayers go out to all effected by this tragic loss

Very sorry to hear this.

I wish I had something to say that would help the hurt stop. Hopefully their memories of him will get them through this.

the family, friends and community mostly know. most of this community also knows that at this point in time it's not really important what happened.

tomorrow we bury him, rather than seeing him on the practice field, or looking forward to seeing him in class Monday, etc., etc.

Very sad to see someone so young pass. I hope the best for all involved. My view on people passing isn't very popular but things like this really tear me up.

I totally respect a family, friend's and community's desire to keep tragedy from becoming a public spectacle, but for a lot of people on the outside, our ability to understand and deal with tragedy comes from understanding what happened. My thoughts go out to this family and to the community as a whole...

yesterday at the visitation I heard 3 different variations of "what happened".

I simply asked those folks if they were there. (they weren't, and neither was I)

even one of the "first responders" I spoke with had a different version of what happened. and I haven't even been asking what happened, people don't know what to say, or how to act to they seem all too ready to share what they heard.

I just know that the kid that bounced more than a dozen pitches into my bare shins during indoor baseball at the field house a couple years ago is no longer physically a classmate, or team mate of my oldest.

Very very sad. I am sure he will be missed and never forgotten. I can tell he must have been a great little man by the way he has touched your heart and for sure many others.
