Comp Bog April 13 Gladwin County Fairgrounds

Gladwin Comp Bog has been postponed until Saturday April 20.
We were hit with an ice storm last night. Many with no power or phone.
Hopefully by the 20th it will be warmer too

OK then.....GL4X4 people...that gives you another whole week to get ready. This event had a pretty good turn out last year for what I believe was their first one. If you can't run it, you might want to just spectate and check it out

Is there a tech check in for street class? Helmets required? Anything else drivers should know?

Thanks

I'll be there with my Bronco.

Mudviper- I would definitely bring your helmet. I am wondering about the street class also. I have a license plate on it, so I must be in the street class, right?

A helmet, fire extinguisher and a 3/4 screw clevis in place of your trailer hitch ball.
Yes there will be a tech inspection on all vehicles. Just got a call from one of the guys in charge of the pit. He's looking for someone to try it out before Saturday. Any takers?
If so call Terry 989-302-0100. I would but found a wheel bearing that needs attention.

You are allowed 2 mod.s to your engine and can still be in the street class.
Like cam and carb, or headers and ignition and so on. 3 or more your in the mod class.
Lift kit doesn't count as long as it is not 4 linked.

Calling for another 3 inches of rain by Saturday. This should be an intresting bog. They can pump water out of the hole if need be.

Street class must have DOT approved tires. I think cut tires puts you in the open class. They will tell you for sure at tech inspection

Next Gladwin Comp Bog

The next Comp. Bog in Gladwin is going to be a part of the county fair.
According to the Gladwin County Fair Schedule, thats on-line right now,
it is going to be on Friday July 26th at 7pm. Going to run it under the lights this time.
Keep ya posted on what time tech. inspection is.
Looks like this one is going to be a lot better than last time.
The next time we have a play bog, I'll let you know. Do a little test and tune.
