But you ran the GM pump right?

I might try a rebuilt pump or just a different factory one.

Like you said might just be something to get used to. It works but I cannot go fast as it does not respond in a safe way. I could have killed a few trees a couple different times when I was in 3rd gear. Would also like to get a tighter turning radius if possible but it is limited by the ram and box or arm.

I will probably try it before I swap pumps.

Have a local parts store that will order stuff in without a restocking fee?

I dont mind replacing the pump, I don't think it worked that great before the assist but it doesnt whine at all.

Anything worth upgrading to instead of a factory pump or is that sufficient?

I do not plan on spending $400+ for a PSC or Howe.

I did this mod twice and both times led to pump failure. Once was a broken input shaft, the other was a burnt up pump. However this was done to a GM P-pump without hydro assist.

Looking forward to seeing how it works with assist. With you being the guinea pig

krc and other circle track manufactures can build you a pump to your specs for far less. Just have to call around

Order one of these and see if it fits if you can return them without restock fee. I no longer have " a guy" that will order stuff for me to figure these things out
Looks like this:

Napa, the part number is 811159 for just the pump. 8163159 with the tank.
2002 4.7 V8 Grand Cherokee with hydraulic fan.

Pump info:
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/gener...l#post15086750

Reducing the flow back down when not using the fan.
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/gener...l#post13309791

Thread for fitting on one end(or get custom hose made, which is my plan)
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/gener...e-adapter.html
http://www.anplumbing.com/Adapters/Metric-25.html
AN-10 Earl's 9919FFL - Earl's AN to Metric Thread Adapter Fittings
AN-12 Earl's 9919GFL - Earl's AN to Metric Thread Adapter Fittings

Gear box side is either 16mm o-ring or 18m o-ring, can't remember off top of my head.

An entire thread. Don't mind the people that don't want to get a custom high pressure hose made
http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthrea...=946090&page=9

Only been gathering information so far but this seems to be the only oem TC pump that is built to handle higher flow rates.

Now I have to decide if I try a rebuilt factory pump or go this route.

Get one and see if it fits with the GC reservoir first. Take a picture for me.

I was just going to get the pump and make a reservoir as I highly doubt that big one will fit.

Probably going to try the pump mod first.

Looking at pictures of it on a vehicle and how much room the 4.0's have stock, I think it will fit, hence asking for pictures
