Well I got some new steering installed. Its from Rock Krawler. It is pretty nice stuff but the intermediate arm was too long so there solution was for me to cut it down. I was not real happy with that so I had them send me a new one.

I had a rediculous howl almost sounding like a gear grinding from the Dana 300 when I went over 20 mph. It was also leaking like crazy. So I got a rebuild kit from JB Conversions that comes with all the shims, bearings, seals ect. During the tear down I found alot of rusted bearings, pitted races, and all around yucky stuff.

But after new bearings, yokes, seals and a spring adjustment she shifts great, does not leak and is as quiet as a mouse.

Also got all the switches wired up and the rock lights done. Still looking for some interesting off road lights for the front bumper.

Dont be too jealous. I have yet to go even on a dirt road. So far it just drives to and from work and the gas station. But soon.

It was dismantled and sold off in pieces. Who would have thought a jeep that does not run or move be worth so much.

Most of the fenders and good parts were swapped over to this the black one.

Well I got bored since I was done early and then got sick so I couldn't go out to twisted trails. So I painted up the faded out hard top and installed the back window. Cleaned up the co2 tank so it looks a little better, found a place to put the high lift. Also took a pic of the swaybar and the mounts I welded on the frame to keep it up.

Well I have been driving the jeep as a DD for about 6 weeks because my other truck blew a motor and now the jeeps normal engine knock is sounding more like an abnoxious PING.

So anyway I found what I think is a pretty awesome deal ($1500) on a brand new 4 liter from 06. Spent 2 hours yesterday and the old motor is ready to come out. Just need to get a clutch comin and swap over a few pullies and parts and we should be back in business.
