Default Extended warranty

Has anyone here ever tried to cancel an extended warranty on a used car?

I personally have not had to cancel one, but at the dealership I used to work for I heard about it. The extended warranty company will usually refund some of your money, but they will charge a cancelation fee, and pro-rate the refund on how long the warranty was in effect.

x3. (as long as it's a reputable dealer/legit loan). What I mean 'legit loan', is that I know some of the "Buy here / Pay here" places will not refund their warranties.

At those types of places, it's basically just a scam (the "Extended warranty") to get you to spend more money when you're buying the car. And since you're shopping at a place like that, you probably have shit credit. People that have shit credit are just happy to be able to buy a car in the first place, so they fall for this type of thing and just sign sign sign the paperwork without reading it.
