Thanks Dueling, they both look good. Looks like it would take a little more modifying than id hoped, so buying something prebent is a little hard to justify. Guess I could use a bender anyways

A few updates, last week I didn't get to much done, it was finally warm enough to do a little work outside tho. Swapped out the sector shaft seal in the steering box and rattle canned the top. Not spectacular but its a lot better than it was.

over the weekend the hydro assist came together, well after the ram came apart for mock up (has a slight bend).

We used this super scientific method to do the job

Mounted the assist tabs along the axle tube and driver side of the housing

Tacked

Final burn in

End result...I can finally steer

Drove her around the house for a little test run, still with front wheel drive
Flexed it out for bump stop, and shock mounting measurements... A few poser pics

Big thanks to wadey for all the help over the weekend, and cleaning out the blazer Bill Murray caddyshack style

Thanks, and nothing to special, just a decent set of progressive rate bumps front and rear.

Have you looked at timbrens? They are pretty sweet. I know quite a few guys running them and have road in a rig with them and got airborn and they work very well for a rubber type bump.

I can get you some links on good pricing if your interested. I think they were getting 4 bumps for $125 or something.

Yeah I have seen the timbrens they are nice. The ol girl needs a new tranny so im leaning a little more towards a set of cheaper competition style bumps to save a few bucks right now, possibly even using bravada/envoy bumps. Id like to run the timbrens or a few of daystars options down the road tho...

Krawlers suck! you should sell them to me

Here's the breathers you want ( according to pirate)

And here's how they go together, just dont buy these ones as they are too stiff and can cause your axle seals to blow out.

Ahhh it makes sense now, I might have to rig something like that up for the barn next winter. You don't think steve will have a problem with this at the apartment do you lol?

Nah...... We'll just vent it out the left side into the other garage, that way he won't see the stack.

Picked up a few things this weekend, my new to me rebuilt 700r4..

And since a regular car hauler wont work for the blazer and the next step up is overpriced equipment trailers and deckovers Im building my own. The trailer is a brand new frame from a company that makes car haulers with living quarters who got the dimensions wrong...and its a lot beefier than your average ghetto 1980s winnebago frame.

5 hours of backroads later and shes' home safe and sound...

Also snagged up brand new 7k axles for next to nothing since elkhart IN seems to be the trailer capital of indiana with the amount of manufactures nearby.
