Default Sleep park fly?

I am going on vacation soon and was thinking about this sleep park fly from Detroit since the flight out is at 7:30 a.m. Has anybody here done this and where have you stayed/parked?

I spent 8 years working in hotels in GR. We had a similar service, Park n' Fly.

Typically it's a pretty good deal. You pay for one night at the hotel, plus pre-pay for a designated number of days that your vehicle will be parked. Typically much cheaper than parking at the airport, and any good hotel will offer complimentary shuttle service to the airport and pick you up when you get back.

I can say this much. We never kept track of who was a park n' fly guest, nor how many days their vehicle was parked. If they were gone 10 extra days that they didn't pay for, we'd have never thought twice of it.

The Laquinta/Qwik Park always worked well for me. I really like the offsite parking. Shuttles come around all the time.

I know the Somerset Inn way out in Troy also has free shuttles to and from DTW and is actually about the same price as some of the nicer hotels near the airport... and much cleaner. When I lived in the apartments right by the mall there and was flying out, I would usually stay at the hotel for a night before hand in-order to not have to drive all the way down to the airport so that might be an option if you don't want to go all the way out there (and they don't char to park at the hotel and even if they did, you could just park at the apartments behind it for free). However, if your flight is pretty early in the morning, it would be a very early shuttle departure from the hotel...
