Disable Passlock system on 1999 K2500

Long stories I bought 1999 GMC K2500 for plow snow. Had issue with key ignition it was hard to turn.

I end swap with junkyard steering column from 1997 K1500 they look exact. Right now it only run for 1-3 seconds then died.

I really want bypass that passlock it drove me crazy. 3 hours of try reset by do 30 mins relearn procedure.

I notice security light flash like 2-3 times when you turn key ON then it went off.

I read that you could bypass with this one but I wasn't sure if it will work for K2500? http://www.bergerweb.net/PasslockFix/

Did you swap the passlock sensor (ring thing) from the original column to the new one?

I heard that there is a way to wire in a resistor to tick the system on some, pass key systems. You could have the pcm programmed to drop the pass key, or can take the truck to a dealer to have them reprogram/relearn the new ign cyl.
