Many newer vehicles are a pain to work on though. My 2011 Malibu require the bumper covers to be removed just to swap a headlamp.

I love the fact that new cars are a bitch to figure out and work on. I seldom deal with the "My (brother, father, uncle, neighbor, lesbian sister), is a (mechanic/works on cars) and they say you don't know what you are talking about" bullshit. I also get lots of work from backyard guys that screw stuff up, now the customer has to bring it to me. Good times.

I spent 10 yrs at a gm/cadillac dealership, I say when you own a cadillac you own the cadillac problems & prices.
I'm curious about this, our 2012 focus leaks oil at what I thought was the mating between the engine and transmission, cleverly ford has installed a fancy felt aerodynamic/skidplate type deal that soaks all the oil up so you never know the oil is leaking until you remove it to change the oil....

I'm interviewing this week at a company that isn't going to place me 400 miles away. Interested in a Subaru?
