Default Cup Holders, CB antenna mount.

Tired of not having anywhere to put my drank while wheeling. This is what I came up with:

Used a 1-3/4 shaft collar that bolts together. Drilled and tapped it for a 1/4-20 bolt, bolted 3.25" PVC tubing with an end cap.

My CB antenna mount is in place of the stock radio antenna. I don't have a radio so figured this would be a good location. I have a 3" Firestick Firefly

Are you not concerned about ripping that CB mount off while wheeling or do you stick to the Mall?

I too need cup holders.

If you put a antenna spring on it you'll be all good. I broke many antennas before I put my springs on and I haven't had a problem since.

I'm pretty sure I would rip that antenna mount right off! I'm not very good with anything that sticks of the body....or anything that has body panels on it.

This is the firefly antenna by firestick. You can bend it in half without a break. Its about half as heavy as the same size normal antenna to. I'm not worried about breaking it as I am careful. If it happens, well it happens and i'll move it. Dosn't stick out much further then a stock radio antenna mount would.

Very nice. So going to borrow your idea there on the cup holders. Will go good with my pvc snorkel.

I will agree on it not breaking.

But I have had one break on me in a parking garage once and it sounded like a gun went off

I used 1-3/4" Split two piece shaft collars from Fastenal. I work there, soooo they were really really cheap. Not sure you would want to go that route as they are not cheap. You could use exhaust clamps, or a hose clamp.

This is why I kept the antenna at 3', just a little above the roof line. Parking garage? Whats that? lol. I can't get into those
