Louisville game yesterday, Kevin Ware breaks leg..

That was the reaction from the bench.

It was the most sick thing I've ever seen aired on tv. Of course they showed the slow motion replay twice before someone thought it was probably not a good idea to continue doing so.

They were talking about this on Drew& No Mike this morning, then going through the list of sports injuries.

They have a theory that athletes are getting stronger than the bones can support.

If anything, athletes have stronger bones than the rest of us.

Doesn't mean my blanket statement applies to everyone.

People step and plant their foot a funny way coming off of a step and break their ankle. So a guy that can leap super higher in the air doesn't land right, all other variables add up to breaking his leg doesn't mean he has weak bones. It's just the result of physics at work.

We were watching this game when it happened. IMO, by far the worst sports related leg break evar! Half of the family didn't catch it at first as they were in another room. I told them, wait five minutes and it will be on YouTube. I was off by a little bit - it was 10 minutes.

I dunno, I still think Joe Theisman's leg break was worse.

Clint Malarchuk is sad you brought up Joe's leg break instead of his incident.

It could be that I remember seeing this as a teenager. I know I didn't see it live, but I remember catching one of the million replays of it.

Malarchuk's throat cutting is nasty, but Theisman's leg break stands out in my memory.

Malarchuks is worse IMO. He saved his own life by sticking his fingers in his own neck. Must be the blood that makes it worse for me...

For as much as people like to rag on pro athletes as getting a 'free ride' or having it easy, the ones at the top of their game are pushing their bodies to the limit. Kevin Ware just discovered what his leg's limit was.

This.

While Kevin's career is over and his leg is WRECKED... He was never in danger of losing his life right there on the floor.

I agree Malarchuk's is worse, but I was simply comparing leg breaks.
