Here's a rough sketch, just to give you an idea on what it may look like. I can't actually model anything until we have real measurements and know what exactly the bender can do. Anyways its easier to change it now, so just let me know how you want it to look

Thanks Dale. I cant take any credit for the jeep though, just the cage. How does it look structurally? The only problem I could see would be the door bars, they'll be tied together with bars running across for the seat mounts. Other than that they could be straight on an angle, but then the seats will have to be pushed together more.

Guess it's time to learn generative structural analysis and see what we can get away with.

Looks awesome! What if we ran a bar from the a pillar to the b pillar along the floor and supports up to the bends in the door bar?

Let me know if you need a hand, I simulated and tested a 4 link for my final project in 450. Its pretty easy once you get the hang of it..

I think it will have to be taller (just the diameter of the tube) unless you lower the seats in the jeep - which would make it harder to work the pedals. I'm 6'1 and my head is almost even with the windshield frame on mine IIRC.

This is one of the nicest Willys cages I have seen.

(Not done here)

This picture kinda shows it with his top on... all the other pictures look like it is level with the frame.

I do plan to lower the seats and tilt them back a bit (similar to Mieser's build on pirate). The plan for now is to use Corbeau SS Rhino seats. They are shorter front to back. I do however like the lines of that cage. I know this whole build will be an exercise of stuffing 10 lbs. of shit in a 5 lb. sack.

Brown Santa dropped off the first piece of my tub puzzle today

Just the cowl top panel but it's a start!

Don't mind the shitty green counter, it and the cabinets were freebies

I just might do that, you'll be welcome to use one if I don't sell the big one right away.

Gotta work Friday. First metal should be bent tomorrow. Ordered the steel for the body and frame today, pick it up in the morning.

If your not busy I could use your help for about an hour on tonight or Wednesday night.
