Thumbs up Go Fast Machines from the Mint 400

Figured I would paost a few pics from the MINT 400 last weekend.

Good times had by all. Perfect vacation destination for a long weekend with a badass offroad race.

Here is Bryce Menzies Qualifying run. These guys are nuts... so are the photographers that stand 5' away as they pass at 70 mph

This dude had a bad day. I think it was a U4 4500 truck.

I have some video that I will try to load up...

the trick trucks are faster than you can imagine. No time for braking, it's the true "throttle out" style of driving. And their rigs can take it. Awesome.

The lack of contrast on the Gopro causes it to look like they are driving on smooth gravel paths, but you can hear the engine doing work and loading/unloading as the suspension is soaking up hits and they are doing a bunch of airborne time and freewheeling and landing.

Totally nuts.

yup, you can pretty clearly tell when Menzies front end floats or gets airborne.. and he is doing 50-60-70 mph in HUGE holes.

The worst part about coming back to Michigan after being in Las Vegas last week was finding out about this race. I had no idea it was going on.
