Default Turkey bacon vs Normal bacon.

I know this sounds crazy, but I now prefer turkey bacon.

If you've never had it, you must try it. It grills flat, tastes wonderful, and it actually not that bad for you to eat.

Uncured Bacon for the win, tastes 1 million times better and is healthier than turkey bacon.

"Uncured bacon and cured bacon generally have approximately the same nutrition, including calories and fat content. Some uncured bacon may add more salt to replace the lost sodium nitrites; however, this varies based on brand."

because normal bacon is three times as bad for you as turkey bacon.

I was really excited about uncured bacon too!

I like turkey bacon. It's not quite as satisfying as the real thing, but its pretty damn good for how much better it is for you.

I saw an episode of "How it's made" where they showed that shit being processed. It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen.

Are you sure it was on turkey bacon? I can't find that episode. I found how it's made - normal bacon edition:

I switch to turkey meats when I start to lean up for a show. They have came a long ways, between the bacon and breakfast sausages, ground turkey, and even Italian turkey sausages. The stuff can be extremely tasty, certainly not the same as beef and pork, but considering the nutritional differences it's well worth it.

The uncured bacon still must be cured, but instead of using Nitrites (the shit that is bad for you) it uses natural ingredients to cure it, honestly I don't know why they call it uncured.....regardless, as it says, you have to find the brands that don't also pump it full of sodium.

I eat a Paleo Diet, so the fat in the bacon is one of the very few sources of food where I even get fat into my diet. Fat is essential to your diet anyway, so for me its a win win. I get healthier bacon, don't have to eat turkey bacon, and in my opinion it tastes better than regular bacon.
