Default 93 k1500 2wd vssb in 4x4 truck?

Ive been helping a buddy out with his 93 z71. I put a 14 bolt with 4.56 gears in it and to get the speedo correct we modified his VSSB or DRAC. I messed up the first chip so we got a replacement from the junkyard from a 2wd truck since we couldnt find one from a 4x4. I have no idea if it is related, but now the truck wants to stall when it is in gear and you press the brake. When it is in park or n and you press the brake it is fine. But once you put it in drive and press the brake it will stall no matter what. Do you think this is from the 2wd vssb in his 4x4 truck? We replaced the brake booster already.
