Default Quadrajet help

So I posted previously regarding trying to find a solution for mating a np205/350 to a sm465 so I can have a 4 speed and while there was good input, I didn't get an answer on what was needed to complete the swap. That said, I'm going back to the trough for wisdom on another issue. As I previously discussed, I'm pulling together a '57 willys wagon to chevy k20 chassis swap and am currently in the process of getting the 350 up and going, at least for the short term. It's a '73 and as such the choke is a copper coil mounted on the intake manifold. The other end of the choke mechanism is the vacuum diaphragm. Neither are working correctly. The diaphragm is leaking and the choke coil is damaged. The coil cannot be ordered through parts stores and I don't have ready access to a salvage yard.

This brings me to my question... Phew. Is there a good / easy / cheap option for swapping out an electric or vacuum choke for this carb? I'll attach pictures

I assume the choke is on the other side?

A manual cable can always be used even though it might not be the best option but it would work.

No this is the side with the choke. The linkage that's hanging down goes to the choke coil on the manifold. That is what I'd like to replace with electric or some other option.

This looks like a good source for a factory replacement of the coil, That's helpful, I haven't found that yet. That said, what do you know about a swap?

The vacuum diaphram controls the secondaries and pull the choke open after startup. The choke is designed to lock out the secondaries untill the choke is fully open.
