Default I wanna paint my cage....

I wanna paint my cage with some affordable paint, that can be touched up easy, what are my options?

I am currently using rustolium rattle can, but it rubs off easy on trees and doesn't hold up in the salty weather.

I would use Epoxy or Imron if you want durable, the Epoxy usually needs to be topcoated. I like to use epoxy and then top coat with something that can be touched up with a rattle can. Satin black is one of my favorite finish's

All paint will come off when rubbing it against something but Imron is some strong shit and you have to use the proper PPE when using it.

Don't rub it on trees.

Krylon seems to work OK. I'm a big fan of rattle can paint for a trail rig. Although I don't repaint my stuff as frequently as Tab.

Home depot $1 cans of rattle can paint! They have very limited colors but they are cheap and seem to work well.

rustoleum is too soft. buy the cheapest paint you can, or go to tsc and get oil based enamel. takes for ever to dry, but its tough and keeps the rust away.

Thanks for the replys

I don't want just a cheap paint, I want it to look nice. I was gonna spray an acrylic enamel, but touch ups will not be easy since the cage will be getting scrapped up. I did the rustolium thing all last year, its fine but rubs off easy and now with the winter, everything rusted up and its pissing me off.

So wheel paint, its that pretty durable? Epoxy spray paint any good? Or just spray it with a good enamel?

Hmmm

No glitter on this one....

I've used it before, guess I'll go look at what colors they have, thinking of doing a different color than black.

Kyle do not get wheel paint it's just as bad as rustoluim I had wagon wheels with wheel paint on them and they rusted just as fast IMO both shitty.
Did the oil base tsc paint on them and that lasted but took for ever to dry

I would go with the tsc implement paint we put in on my buddy's bump and run car
But we did 2 coats brush and 2 coats with the spray gun and some hardner and it's still on there pretty well.

your issue isn't tha piant, its the primer and prep. You need to clean the tube 100% of all the oils. Do a few rub downs with acetone, etc to clean the tube and then get a good metal etching primer on the tube before any paint. Once the primer is on, any of the higher quality rustoleum spray paint will look good for years.
