1-4" over a week's timeframe, big deal. It probably snowed 2" in the last two days here, but nothing stuck to the ground.

Maybe you should look at the graphic and read the text again. It's looking like a trace for us. All of the heavy snow will be in the northern half of the LP.

obviously you only read the top half of a website page.

maybe try scrolling down. It says to refer to the text forecast, so I will copy/paste so you don't have to scroll down.

The first part of the weekend looks to be quiet and then a wild card storm has been introduced into the forecast for Sunday and Monday. I call it a wild card as it was not indicated by any model in previous runs and is not indicated by all model runs this morning. In any case, the idea calls for snows of 5-12” to fall across the southern of MN, northern of IA, southern of WI and lower MI as well as far northern IL.

I use the John Dee website weekly. I find him to be very good for the Upper Penisula and northern half of the LP but doesn't do so well for us. If you read the text ..... and ..... look at the graphic, it looks like he is predicting the snow to be further north. Also, take a look at a map and you will see that the lower half of Wisconsin is about the middle third of Michigan's LP.

Put it this way, if you have that much faith in John, I'll bet you both a lunch (in Brighton) we don't see that much snow.
