Not rolling in the pope-mobile, hanging out in crowds, shaking hands of everybody as they leave mass..

Now if this guy can change his stance on birth control and gay marriage, he might grow the membership numbers...

Lol. What would they have left if they weren't divisive?

Won't happen. Ever. My wife's family is Catholic (some more than others) and would probably drop dead on the spot if that ever happened.

Gotta admit, he's certainly a more 'humble' pope.

It has to happen eventually. I honestly believe that the people right now who are 30 and up will be the last of the "thriving church" era..

The internet is educating people like never before, and science is becoming the norm as more things are understood as opposed to being confused about something and stating "god must have _______"

I would see Fenistein supporting 2A rights before the Catholic Church endorsing abortion.

It cant, the Pope is the head of the Catholic Church, not God, so he can not change the Bible.
The Pope get's his direction from the Bible. There are no amendments to the Bible.

The Catholic Churches morals do not come from society, they come from the Bible. It Is ironic that people think they can teach/change the morals of God..

And then the world ends. You just summed up part of Revelations without even meaning to. Yes, they will eventually.

They've already said fetuses aren't people, but only if they accidentally kill them.

I think your wrong. Being on the other side of 30 (barely at 28) I can tell you that because of the knowledge of the internet people are find God more relevant and meaningful then ever before. Before the interwebs you had a choice of a few pastors within your area. Now, anybody can find a pastor that really speaks to them and teaches them about Christ and the Bible.

The church will eventually fall, but then Jesus will be here and I don't think Any of us will care either way. JMO though.

Back to the OP. Yeah, I agree. He seems more approachable and real. I hope he turns the Roman Catholic church around and gets inline with Jesus and explodes this world for him.

Wrong. Christians are not Terrorists, they are Crusaders. Get your history correct.

Jesus was a humble, loving, caring man who almost everybody could identify with and the State, or the religious leaders (pretty close to the same thing), decided to kill him and got away with it and you're saying they planned on painting them selves in that negative light?

Well, IMO, they did a pretty crappy job. If I were them I would have made Jesus to be a horrible person and would have used my political ways to make my self, as a religious leader (or politician), look even better then I thought I was.

Not only that, But I'd make sure to remove the part where the Main character calls me and my associates a brood of vipers, calls us out for our extreme falseness and makes us look like fools on multiple occasions. But I'm sure your idea is way more logical because you don't believe in the fairy tales.
