Just put that bumper (minus tube work) on the Cherokee. Leah wouldn't have any other bumper. Nice choice! It's just to bad you had to deal with alboy.

That's what it's all about right there. Certainly changes the overall look of the jeep for the better.

So the 2nd project of the weekned was Trish's fender flares...and yet again it only was half completed. The fronts are on and look great...She's happy and that means momma's happy.

After removing the rear bumper corners there was a nice chunk of rust on the drivers side. The jeep is damn clean everywhere else so I was a bit suprised. So instead of just throwing them on that will get remedied first.

must be common, our 2000 is spotless everywhere else, and had the same problem. strange though ours was on passenger side and driver side was fine. We were doing a cut n fold bumper and it didnt matter. could just cut n fold yours for the clearance

Ill get a pic up in a little bit. The area it's at I think would be best just cut out and a new piece of metal welded in. However i'm no body shop guru so once I get pics up will be posting looking for someone in the area that wants to make a little $ on a side job. Only need to cut 1 1/2" off for the flares. Clearance really isn't an issue for her. It's a light trail, dunes, 2 track dd.

OH........and an fyi for anyone doing this little bolt on mod.........remove the windshield wiper fluid basin before drilling ....it's under the driver side fender.....yea.that was a mess when the drill punctured it........guess who will be hittin a junkyard for a replacement. Yep...this girl.

She laughed.

Dropping it off Monday at the local Maaco. $181 and they're going to cut that piece out and weld in new metal. I'm just gonna rattle can it when i get it home with some primer and rock guard......most will be covered by the flare anyway. And yes she's paying for half.
