Default Miracle Fish

My daughters fish was dead as a stone.

Update for the rest of the story:

My Daughter has had this dumb $0.24 fish for 3 years. It sits in a bowl in her room, and the cats basically use it as their drinking water (maybe it tastes like fish).

She needed to clean the bowl so she caught the fish and placed it in a little temporary container. My wife just finished doing the dishes and the water from the faucet was HOT.

My daughter didn't realize the water was so hot, grabbed the fish and threw it in. 10 minutes later the fish was a total floater.

When she noticed, she picked it up, realized how hot the water (still) was, and started crying. The fish then sat on a paper towel on the counter while she dumped out the hot water.

I walked in from the garage. I put the fish into ice cold water and started filming...

This fish is 100% back to normal now.

As a kid we had a small concrete pond in our back yard. Use to keep gold fish in it in the summer and bring them in in the winter. One year did not bring them in, pond froze solid to bottom. In the spring after ice melted the fish were alive. Hibernation I guess.

Fish have the ability to slow down their heart rate and breathing when exposed to extreme temperature changes. Totally normal for this to happen. Glad to see the fish made it.
