Default Looking for a new lens 85-250 for a Canon Rebel

I am looking to get a new lens for my camera. I have the standard 18-55 that it came with, and I picked up an older 100-300 from the camera shop in Pontiac. I am going out west for my brother's wedding, and am looking for a 85-250 range lens. What is a decent one to get? A really high-dollar one is out of the question. Links would be helpful.

Thanks all!

Sigma makes a great lens for a reasonable price....unless you want to shell out the cash for an l series

Meh. It will be on par with your kit lens quality wise.

Well, I guess that will work then, as the lens I have now works great for what I do.

No, doesn't quite work that way. Canon has several levels of lenses. The "L" series I mentioned earlier is pretty much the best you can get

The good news is that if you don't like it you can probably turn around and sell it for 80-90% of what you paid for it.
