In my opinion the Android operating system is great, but Google let's a lot of apps on the Play Store that air push spam, etc.
This plus check for software updates for your phone. My first galaxy phone had updates at least once a year.
My S3 was new at Christmas and I already did a update. The wife and daughter both have the iphones they like them but I dont .

I agree...to an extent. I will never own another Motorola Android phone. I bought the Bionic, which was at the time, the best droid/4G phone Verizon offered. It was great until they forced upgrades through. My next phone will be android but will be a Samsung or HTC

Just got an s3 last week and it is awesome. Buddy hase the i5 and personally I think it is not up to all the hype. To me it seems like its really an i4 with a bigger screen.

I hate my s3, but I bought it before the iPhone 5 came out...so I didn't have much of a choice.

The keyboard lags like crazy while texting, and randomly crashes if it gets too far behind. The internet app blows...when I first go to a website, the screen gets glitchy so I have to close the program and re-open it to clear it up. For some reason, I can't access my online banking from my phone...I have tried multiple browser apps, checked all of the settings...nothing works.
Also, once you have a long list of text messages with one contact...the text notification sound quits working properly. At first, you get a whistle tone for the notification, after you get so many texts...it becomes a short cut-off whistle, and after you have enough....it doesn't have any audio notification, just a vibration. It drives me insane. There are many more issues with this phone too, those are just some of the most annoying for me.

The latest update only made all of these issues worse.

I should have stuck it out a few more months with my droid2 and waited for the iphone 5.

The only thing that I really like about the phone is the camera...it takes amazing quality photos and has some cool features like the panoramic shot and burst photos.

I've had that phone and experience none of those issues. It sounds like you've got all your memory used up or something.

I was all about HTC until they started locking their boot loaders. Rooting my Evo3d was a pain in the ass. The Samsung phones are much easier and have a lot more bells and whistles. HTC had been losing ground over the last couple years. Doesn't the HTC one have a non removable battery and no SD slot? I think the iPhone 5 is that way.

Not sure on battery but it is 32gb with micro sd from what i read. I think there was a reason they lost groumd in the us. I read somewhere about law suites over patents in the tech of the evo from aplle andnmotorola. They have released several phones in other countries that were highly rated but not the us.

I miss how easy my evo was to navigate and use over my SII.

I've always liked HTC Sense. A lot of people hate it. I think they have the best widgets and easy to use layout. Since I went to Samsung from HTC, I use a different launcher and don't use Touchwiz. It looks to pasted together in my opinion. Apex or Nova launcher are the way to go in my opinion.
The new HTC One looks like a nicely built phone, but honestly nothing really jumps out about it. I think that HTC has lost a lot of it's business to Samsung.

9 out of 10 android fanbois will say the same, including me. I hated my 4s at first and wanted to throw it... Just because it wasnt what I was accustomed to... And I didn't know how to do some things on iOS. Now after a year and 1/2 of not having to root-jailbreak-customize-widget-whatever the hell, it still works just like its suppose to

But I'm not mad at the 'tech savvy' people who still like to fukc with android. A little competition is always good
