Default New (also first) bike!

Just bought this 2008 KTM 144 SX last weekend. Now it just needs to stay warm so I can go ride it! Also gonna fab up a Michigan proof flag mount this week so I am ready for our Kettering Offroad Club trip to Silver Lake.

If you have any access to welding or machining equipment the best thing to do is make one up that replaces one of the rear axle blocks so it will not spin around on you.

Looks like a sharp bike, fmf graphics with a pro circuit pipe is a bit random but nice to see other people running 2 strokes too. I'm riding an 03 rm125 now

I thought the graphics were a little weird too, but its what the previous owner put on. For the flag mount, I welded something up that will mount to two places on the subframe. If it doesn't feel solid enough I will try something on the swingarm.

Want me to carry a gas can for you? It looks like a pretty small tank IMO. Solid looking bike you got there, doesn't look to rode hard.

Yeah, thats what trucks are for right? I'm gonna look into a small trailer for the bike/accessories once the Jeep is sold. Somebody's coming to look at it this weekend.

Looks like fun. Are you planning on putting a paddle tire on it for the dunes?

I am planning on getting a paddle for the dunes, just not sure what brand yet. Any recommendations for a good paddle?

If worse comes to worse , doesn't that corner store , right at the entrance to the dunes still carry the flag bracket that goes on the axel nut ?? If your subframe mount don't hold up for you !!
