Default dana 30 build

can i use stock 03-06 rubicon shafts with a 30 spline detroit locker in my dana 30,
i think i would have to change unit bearings but the knuckles are the same so

just wondering thanks

Do yourself a favor and don't spend that much on a Dana 30.

I believe that d30 30 spline inners are different than tj rubi shafts.

The unit bearings would be the same, as tj rubi outers are the same as tj d30 outers. You can buy 30 spl outers too, but that doesn't make much sense imo.

This is the best advice. Plus, if you beef the axles, then your r&p becomes the weak point. It's much easier to swap a broken axle than r&p (I have 27spl rcv's in my tj, this is from experience)

i putting in a detroit locker and they are prone to internal breaking when a axleshaft snaps violently, price is the main thing here locker relatively the same price but i'm not paying 700 for chromo front shafts, i could probably get a set of rubicons for cheap.
and i'm only running 33s
