Default Looking for a .22 as well a pump action shot gun

I am looking for a .22 to so I can teach my son how to shot, to respect fire arms and for the start of his hunting time with his Grandpa next year.

I would like a Ruger 10-22 with scope and iron sights and would prefer something with a synthetic stock. Can be Bolt action single shot or a semi-auto. But I will take what I can find for the right deal

Also looking for a pump action shot gun in a 12 or 20g.
Finely going to break down and build a tactical shot gun.

I have some stuff to trade. Look at what I have list on the For Sale section.

Look at a marlin 795 great shooting gun and dunhams has them on sale often. I picked one up for my son last summer and it shoots great with all amo unlike my 10/22 which only likes certain brands of ammo.

What about the upgrade support on the Marlin. I was looking for the Ruger b/c I know there is a lot of add-ons out there for them.

Thanks for Info I will take a look at them.

There is some aftermarket for the 795 there are laminet stocks trigger groups and trigger gaurds as well as a few other misc parts. There isn't the endless parts like a 10/22. but in stock form i would pick it over a 10/22 and it's alot cheaper and shoots consistant on different brands of amo unlike a 10/22

I would go with a 10/22 .22lr. I have one and it's hands down my favorite rifle in the box. I have never had any problems feeding any type of ammo. Like any rimfire and has a hicup every now and then, but with the amount of support it has you cannot go wrong. Plus you can build it he grows. Meaning you can set it up for a youth and as he gets older you can get bigger stocks, ect.

Yea I found the kit I want to build. All I need is the firing mechanism, trigger assembly barrel. Everything else is different.

I have a Rossi youth 3 barrel set that was perfect for my kids.
Single shot, break action design.
Comes with a breakdown soft case that holds all barrels.
THREE GUNS IN ONE - .22, .243 and 20guage
Might have 50 rounds through the 20guage, 10 through the .243 and only 50 or so through the .22, so this is practically new.
We used it primarily for hunting, not much of a high volume target gun.

link for description at Rossi:
http://www.rossiusa.com/whatsnew-trifecta.cfm

These are $300-$330 new

pm me a respectable offer if interested.
