Default Iphone 5 VS Galaxy S4

Upgrading to a new phone. Do you have an Iphone or galaxy s3/s4 and what are your thoughts/input on either or? Or if you owned both i would like to hear feedback as well. I am upgrading from a basic smartphone a LG Optimus S so either will be a better upgrade.

my mother and my older brother have the Iphone. Both love it. My buddy just got the galaxy and seems like a solid phone. Both are 4/5 stars.

Both are considered to of the line. IThink it comes down to your preference in operating systems.

The s4 isn't out yet is it? Personally I'd go with the HTC DNA or the Note 2 if you can deal with the massive screen.

i thought i saw the S4 listed on sprints website. Maybe it was a different phone. I like the droid system as i'm familiar with it but the iphone has more accesories and apps available. I think the Iphone is cheaper so i may just try that.

S4 is not out yet. There is a samsung event to officially announce the phone on March 14th. The iphone is good if you just want to surf the internet or go on facebook and make calls. The android is good for people who like more customization and are a little more tech savvy. I have the galaxys2 and i will be getting the galaxy s4 when it is released because i have been happy with my s2.

I have the Note 2. It's awesome. You get used to the screen quickly. Best phone ever.

I would go iphone 5 for a few reasons
-resale value (iphone 4's still go for $200+ on ebay)
-ease of use (I mean, even your mom can use it!)
-less buggy (I can't tell you how many times I've had to reboot my android)

Being an Android guy I'd go with the S3. The mrs has a Iphone 4 and its nice too. Either one is a great phone. Although I'd probably stick with the Android now because of the support of the near field communication Samsung and Motorola have added to their phones.

IMHO I'd say if you're going to get a phone, make sure its well supported. my Razr maxx hd is, but my last one wasn't outside ATT. It made getting covers, software updates and accessories a bit of a pain. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't have gotten that model.

my Galaxy S2 is a year and a half old, still looks and works like new. no case either and survived many falls while landscaping.

Seems Iphone users phones break within a couple months if they dont have a rediculous otterbox on it. I quit smoking and dont miss having something that thick in my pocket all the time

In reference to question at hand, its all preference. they will perform the same, just comes down to whether you want a simple phone (iphone) or something with more control and complications (android) however I am still with my S2 because I hate that the new androids were dumbed down with less controls

This is true, my LG has frozen many times and lags alot. And i dont have many apps on my phone only a couple and do not play any games. Iphone does have alot of accesories and i think is $50 maybe $100 cheaper(not exactly sure). Galaxy has my interest but the iphone seems to proven itself. hmm...

I really liked my Razr Maxx for the first year but it seems to be getting super slow and buggy, I just bought an iPad and it makes my phone seem retarded all of the time. I really want the next iPhone just because the apple products just seem to be a whole lot simpler and work a lot better.

High End Android phones will help with the bugginess. The cheap ones are garbage. My rooted Note 2 will last close to 2 days on a charge with 5 hours of screen time.
In my opinion the Android operating system is great, but Google let's a lot of apps on the Play Store that air push spam, etc.
