Default Furniture?

I want to buy a bed. Simple, clean looking. I found these 2 from the horse meatballs, lots of press board in a box with an Allen key people.

Simple and plain

Has storage underneath

Is ikea worth it or should I bark up another tree? I don't need anything ornate or fancy in this stage of my life.

Oh, and in before basement, racecar and or bunk bed hahas

If you're looking at IKEA, you're better off looking at Big Lots. Better stuff, and cheaper.

IKEA = Sauder

Im sleeping on the first one right now. As long as you are aware its not hardwood, its fine, held up pretty decent so far as well. Headboard is a bit short for my liking though.

I've bought numerous pieces from Ikea over the years and have never been disappointed. The stuff isn't Ethan Allen, but I think it's definitely better than the shitty Sauder stuff my parents would buy at KMart.

If you are going into the store, just be sure to thoroughly check out the assembled examples of what you are looking at. Some items are seem to have noticeably better components and construction than others.

The only people who complain about ikea furniture are people who didn't use glue. Use as much glue as possible and it's good

my sister has the first bed you posted. I put it together and it's actually a very well built set. The second bonus is that (if you get that specific color) it uses real maple veneer and not photo wood. It's easier to fix if something scratches it. I fix/build custom furniture for a living so its a bitch to fix photo wood crap.

There are so many one liners in this post, I don't know where to start...

Ikea makes a good product if you are looking for decent quality, minimal flash, and decent pricing...

X2. Holds up much better when glued. I have 2 dresser and a bed that have been moved twice and held up fine.

#1 is a toe killer.

And I hate it, even though it's in Guest Bedroom #1 and I didn't buy it.
