Regular Maker's better than Four Roses Small Batch? Understandably, everyone has their own taste, but I'm pretty sure there's a way to scientifically disprove that.

I have a bottle of the Four Roses Single Barrel that is pretty damned tasty.

Mine looks different and lists the warehouse and barrel number.

Single barrel and small batch are different beasts. I think Small Batch is a blend... single barrel is literally one bourbon, from a single barrel.

Try Elijah Craig 12 year old. It's the original small batch. Reasonably priced as well.

I looked at both pictures a few times and never realized his was small batch.

It was excellent. Tried it straight and it impressed me and also mixed with coke it was heavenly.

Back when I did the tour 5+ years ago I thought the same thing. However, this years small batch with the "OSBK" recipe is excellent...that's the thing about small batch/single barrel runs - different runs have slightly different tastes to them.

Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit is another one of my favorites, but the last two bottles I've had were very unimpressive. Elijah 12 yr is very good (typically)...Bulliet is another one that's good (I'd drink this over MM anyday).
