It's weird. I got home last night around 11 and there was 3-4" and it was still snowing. Woke up today and there was maybe 3" of the heaviest snow I've ever seen.

I feel bad for the people with single stage blowers today.

Just finished plowing. 4 1/2" in my driveway. And now it's raining.

I lied, mine is two stage (little guy 7hp 24" path). CC is right, a single stage would really suck today.

Is that a giant ruler that is measuring in feet, or is your garage only 11" tall?

whats really funny is you base whether or not they should close schools from what you see in your driveway. You do understand that 1/4in of the right snow is enough to close schools right?

What's funny is you make a wild assumption that I simply looked out my window and said oh gee they cancelled school.

The point you failed to grasp is that we didn't get much accumulation overnight, which should have allowed the crews to get the roads clear enough to not cancel school. Further, I went out and bought milk this morning, I had no problem driving slowly, carefully and cautiosly in 2wd in my truck to the grocery store and back. I also didn't have any problems moving jessica's focus around to snowblow the driveway....

But, our administrators have become so deathly afraid of the liberal pussies who want our kids to sit at home whenever there is the slightest chance of a snowflake it's ridiculous. It just reinforeces the further pussification of america, kids are going to think everytime it snows that means you don't have to go to work, school, or anywhere else, you get to just pussy up and sit on the sofa.

Crews do NOT clear back roads, over 70% of your school population live on back roads. Your assumption that the administrators are pussies is also false. The school year has built in number of days for snow days and they are past that now. So guess what, the school year just got longer by one day. Do you really think they want to spend an extra day with the stuck up, no respect having, entitled asshole they call students? I would guess no, I would further guess that the back roads are dangerous to travel. Donít believe me, come on over and see how well your 2wd truck does on my road.

The dirt roads are bad, I get it. But they are not impassable, are you gonna stay home from work today? Did all your neighbors stay home from work today too? No, they got off their ass and drove down the dangerous roads and went to work, they could have just as easily dropped their kids off at school.

Who didn't go to work today? Those who have the ability to work from home, or those who are lazy fucks that milk the system anyway.....we just further bred more system milkers by canceling school at least once a week since christmas because we have a bunch of pussies running the school systems who want to use up all the snow days so they can sit at home on their asses.

My assumption the administrators are pussies is not false, it is not an assumption. It is an opinion, an opinion which is not stated as fact, so therefore it can not be false.

little timmy has a scratch on his arm from the accident

school is sued for $504,233,238.00 and loses

Far cry from when I was a kid, and had to help push the school bus out. The back roads we were on might see a tractor pullin' a honey wagon during a 24 hour period, but usually Never another vehicle.

If the bus was stuck, there were "No" Cell phones. If you needed to make a call to the bus garage, the oldest kid on the bus was in charge on the bus, while the driver walked to the nearest farm house to use their multiple party land line.

Yes, I'm almost as old as whiterhino.

You understand the average commute time for a bus route is an hour to an hour and a half under normal driving conditions. So using your logic and driving slow, you can double and triple the bus time. Knowing that a bus needs more room to stop even under dry condition due to the weight of the vehicle, imagine what the stopping distance would be on VERY icy roads? Combine that with uneven grades and you have a very dangerous situation. You really want your kids riding around in a 4 ton shit missile without the ability to stop or navigate turns? You are a smart guy, but you are not using your head on this one buddy The buses will run in snow, just not ice
