I'm pretty sure they are still making them, but they are labelling them and selling them through Code Red Firearms in Florida. I think it's code red, at least, but there was talk about it on AR15.com

It is known as Senate Bill 63: Michigan firearms freedom act

It is a Republican introduces bill to, among other things, limit the reach of the Federal Government when it comes to Firearms. The catch is, all of the Firearms covered under this would have to remain inside of Michigan. Any Interstate movement of these Firearms may then fall under the purview of the Federal Governments rules and regulations.
So, sure, you will be able to own and carry a fully automatic 100 round capacity pistol built and sold in Michigan, but if you take it to Toledo with you, hoo boy, look out.

Kind of the same way of thinking with the super high taxes on ammo that have been proposed: make it too expensive for most people to be able to buy.

I don't think the "Made In Michigan" provision helps us at all.
You need to do a little research on your own. It makes for a more educated presentation.
BTW, another intent of this bill is to attract gun manufacturers to Michigan.

OK, I guess I must be a retarded dumbass then. Thank you for alerting me to that fact. I don't know how I manage sometimes.

In the meantime, I stand by my original statement. The bill clearly states that firearms made in Michigan will be off limits to the feds. But what it doesn't say is that there will be any grandfathering of firearms not made in Michigan that any of us purchased prior to any of this taking place. If it actually said this I would feel much better about things, but my fear is that the made in Michigan wording will allow lawmakers to try the confiscation crap here that is being proposed by Dems in Missouri. I have to believe that probably 99% of the firearms we own here in this state were made outside of Michigan, and without grandfathering we could all be hosed ("Not made in Michigan? Turn 'em in"). And waiting for who knows how long until manufacturers are attracted to Michigan to help re-arm us legally.

Not sure how you got "retarded dumbass" out of that. Informing oneself does lend to a more educated presentation though.

I think reading the bill is the best education we can get in this situation. After reading it several times, I still stand by my original statement and the statement above. Am I missing something here? Is my limited education making me miss the part where the bill says "hands off" all firearms, including ones not made in Michigan?
