I picked out carpet for my basement today. Tomorrow it will be measured and ordered.

The middle one I think. Redoing the basement has really helped pass the time while being unemployed. I would have thought I would have finished it by now though.

Very nice. Building a man cave or just expanding the living areas?

Repairing after water damage in 2010 a couple months after we bought the place. The basement had a rather fresh re-do before we bought it and I figured out why. The previous owners neglected to patch the big ass crack in foundation where the retaining wall for the pool meets the house. The wall sat bare concrete for about 2 years with no carpet. I just rebuilt the wall, am almost done repainting everything, and am ready to get all of the kids toys out of the living room.

The man cave is around the corner. It has a single car stall and a 15x30 work shop. Unfortunately the jeep is too tall to fit and its full of shit that should be in a shed. I'm torn if I want to build a pool house of a shed this summer. That is totally dependent if I find a local job or pack my bags again and work at another power house in some shit hole again.

I'll chip in for some bare essentials, like a $600 led light bar.

Wow. Sounds like you have a lot to do. Maybe a little less internet thugging and a little more TCB.
