Default 1968 Jeep Gladiator

I am building up a 1968 Gladiator I bought from another member on here about a year ago. When I bought it, it did not have a motor, Trans, or t-case. It is set up for Chevy drivetrain so I bought a Chevy 350, Turbo 400, 205 to put in it. I plan on rebuilding the top half of the 350 before I put it in. Also, the front axle is a 6 lug Waggy dana 44 with 4.09 gears but the rear is a dually 14 bolt 8 lug. So I am either going to put a waggy 44 in the rear and keep the 44 front as-is or get 8 lug dana 44 hubs for the front and keep the 14 bolt. The plan is to run 33's or 35's when it is done.

Thanks but right now I am leaning towards keeping the 14 bolt.

It would look pretty sweet as a dually with some skinny 34's though.

That is a nice looking unit. My first Jeep was a Gladiator. 327 rambiler with 3 on the tree.

Nice truck!

Solid Axle industries makes 6x5.5 hubs for the 14 bolt if you want to make the exiles match.

The 14 is overkill but if you don't care about ground clearance you won't have to worry about breaking it.

Motor fell of the motor stand so the project was delayed a little bit.
