There is most likely an "at large" ordinance in your township that can bring the neighbor a $500 fine to recover his dog from the pound.

Make nice with the dog and detain it until the authorities come to pick it up.

Personal experience says it works very well.

Train the dog to eat the owners.

The End.

Why not just call the authorities and file a restraining order?
I know that sounds like a bitch move, but he threatened your life.

I think restraining orders are hilarious.

until 2 months ago now the dog is coming up to the house and eating my garbage in my cans that are next to my garage.
the dog spends the summer laying in the road making cars stop and honk and yell. well my house is the closest to the road so they yell at me because they think its my dog.
ive talked to the neighbors twice. one time i banged on the door at 7am on a saturday to tell them to come pick up the garbage in my yard. But now its getting worse. I hate this dog but am to nice to do anything to it. im hoping it dies of old age soon.
My neighbor had a trash dog.
I begged some dirty diapers from a friend and put them on top. Dogs love baby shit. The dog loved them. That dog even brought one home to momma.
Momma bitched me out for leaving my trash cans unsecured.
Even if the dog does not bring them home, his breath will be very special

pepper spray worked great, it doesn't hurt the dog, its a win, win...so with that said would you like to come over a clean the trash up next time? No, neither did the dogs owner...I provide a solution that worked for me and now I don't have to clean up trash

Animal control. Tell them it snarled and your kids.

My experience with animal control is that they won't even show up when a collar-less pitbull tore up my chickens. I should have followed the S-S-S method as I had a boomstick and the dog was 20' away but I figured it was some kids' dog. All I wanted was animal control to pay a visit to the people's house but they wouldn't bother. So next time I'll follow S-S-S when one chooses to partake in activities I do not like.

If you don't care enough to keep your animals under control then you shouldn't have animals.

I've had a lot of other people's pets in my yard and I don't care as long as they don't cause me grief.

Invest in a paintball gun.

Take the dog, keep him in captivity until he develops Stockholm's syndrome then train him to tear the owners throat out, then say good dog.

Smooshed dog poo is really horrible to clean up. I have asked the neighbors to please ask their children to stay out of my yard but the beverly hillbillies told me that "kids will be kids." God forbid you watch your kids when they are 100 ft away.. i mean it might interrupt your phone calls and cigarette smoking. I had thought about joining up with my neighbor who's kids toys keep getting stolen and/or broken and complaining to the association, but shooting or pepper spraying the bastards would be so much more efficent..

Tell your neighbor the next time the fucker shits in your barn your taking it to the pound. Then after you drop the dog off call him up say hey your dogs at the pound. Make his pay to get the dog out and ever single time the you catch the dog. They will either leave the dog at the pound or stop letting it wander around.

This is probably going to be the best thing recommended I have seen because it causes pain to the real problem aka the owner.

The whole point of my sarcastic post earlier is that people should be responsible for their own responsibilities and not make them someone else's issue period. If they become someone else's issue hurting something that is innocent in nature doesn't solve the problem. Even killing the innocent doesn't resolve the issue, the owner could get another dog or the horrid mother behind me could pop out another kid..

Resolve the issue not the symptom..

You are a sick fukc . Anti-freeze poisoning is a horrible, painful, slow, scary death.
I personally don't care if he shoots it and the law is on his side, but poisoning it is an awful way to go.

Simple solution : Keep your barn closed up at night? Sounds easy enough. But you may not be that smart and are just mad that the dog is smarter than you.

Why should I deal with this as humane as possible? This isn't my thread, I solved my neighbors dog problem.

We leave the front doors of the barn open to insure ventilation for the little cows. Their is always steam that comes off from their pen in the winter which will give them phneumonia if they do not have proper ventilation.

This ends my social experiment with the GL4x4 populous.

Thank you for your participation.

I received comments from most that I was looking to compare with a previous thread, posted by another member.

I am busy trying to compose my next test.

I am close to being able to prove that many people have an irrational love for dogs, that supercedes their love for other human beings, including the respondence own children.
