Default Mall of America

We are headed up to Minnesota to watch Tigers @ Twins and figured Mall of America is something we should do.

Is it worth the time? What else would you recommend in Minneapolis?

Plan on stopping at the Dells in WI on the way up.

Thanks!

Its been 10-12 years since the last time I was there but its cool to stop in a see it and to say you were there.
There is some different shops in the place that alot of malls dont have and to do some of the rides in kind in the Park is fun. I used like the roller coaster myself.
The Lego store was cool as well always had the real hard to find stuff there.
But its tourist trap, Lots and lots foreigners there.

Personal I would hit up Downtown Minneapolis. Lots to do there and some dam great places to eat. On of my Favorite is this place. Brit's Pub 1110 Nicollet Mall. Had some damn great burgers and banger and mash as well.

After I wrap up this job in Texas I gotta drive up a bit north of Minneapolis, guess I'll check out the Maul of America too, see if it's as cheesy as it sounds.

I have been there several times. My sister lives in Minneapolis so we usually hit the mall once each trip just to see whats in the stores. It's only about 15 min from her house so its kinda like just going to our local mall here (which I never really do anyways). If you are there you may as well. If you have kids, the rides are kinda cool for them to play on. There are also some cool restaurants to get food in.

We also stop off in the Dells on our way up. Usually grab lunch there. Now that place is a tourist trap lol.

It's a huge mall, as expected. As malls go, it's one.

Wife enjoyed it, and I made a game out of counting how many Caribou Coffees there were (over 15). Can catch a bus from there to Indian casino.

As stated, Lego store is cool - my wife left several $100 there, and I learned to repack legos into ziplock bags to reduce volume so as to fit into luggage and carryons.

Downtown Minneapolis is cool - see the sights (stadiums, indoor walkways, Mary Tyler Moore statue, etc...). We were there in fall on Vikings gameday, and it's a fun crowd.

Bar at mall is nice - make sure to have a Grain Belt and a Summit EPA.
