Need advice 2002 Range Rover or 2005 Grand Cherokee?

I recently totaled my wrangler and im searching for a new vehicle. I don't plan on off roading this vehicle it will be a daily driver/ tow rig for my small dirtbike trailer. I am not a mechanic but I have a local small shop near by that said they would work on the rover for normal hourly rate. I know parts for the Rover will be more than the Jeep. Does anyone have any experience owning either with pros and cons they could share? I listed the link to both vehicles below. Any help would be appreciated.

Price routine repairs for Land Rover (brakes, filters, ball joints/tie rod ends, etc...) and do same for GC.

Decide from there.

As you know parts will be more exspensive and service may cost more. Even though your local shop will work on the rover doesnt mean they will be cheaper then a rover shop.

The guys that work on rovers may be cheaper simply because they do it everyday, and have any special tools rovers require.

After doing a exstensive search on rover forums for known problems you will know more about what you can expect. Good luck.

rovers are not the most reliable vehicles.

I am leaning towards the jeep for maintenance cost and repair costs and I have had good luck with them in the past I just wish Jeep would design their interior to the quality Rover does but of course they would have a much larger price tag.
