That guy doesn't use his tractor to plow fields, he uses the tractor to haul his balls around as he dickdrags the fields.

My dad did that 20 years ago same way. And We're planing on dropping the one we don't use anymore the same way.

build a sniper post on top of it for the coming zombie apocalypse.

in all seriousness, wouldn't it be easier to knock two of them out nearly opposite of each other, loop through some heavy tow straps, and run out some 40-50' of strap and get a running start with one of the farm trucks?

My thought is have something wrapped around toward the top tied down to the ground the way you want it to drop.

If you look in the video he had one whole side knocked out the way he wanted it to go and gravity takes over from there, just like falling a tree. Also most of the time if your dropping a silo like this one chances are its not safe to climb to get a cable on any way

Dad says that doesn't work as well as you'd think, if you don't get it on the first try you have to knock it down with a hammer anyway, unless you have a disposable red headed stepchild that u can make pull the cable threw and hook it back up.

I think 12 gauge slugs would split the blocks and weeken the thing once you took the ring bands off it

Knocked one down this summer.....you would be utterly amazed how many blocks you have to get rid of to make it fall.

We knocked most out by hand then wrapped a cable around a large section that was left and hooked it to a truck and jerked them all out as one.....the advantage to doing it like this is they will basically implode and fall straight down making clean up easier.

Note: the barn is junk and coming down too so hitting was not a concern
