You will either have to go bigger on your axle lowers, use a rubber bushing or redo your brackets.

Yes it is. You can find it cheaper than that.

Rough Country makes a long arm upgrade kit, just like we mentioned earlier in the thread. You should look into it.

You're right I forgot you had a zj not an xj. You'll be really close to that by the time you get everything set up for the 3/4" heims.

he has his mind set and I'm pretty sure he isn't about to listen to any advice. He will end up with some hacked up shit with 3/4 heims that will be slopped out in a year. I'm guessing some sweet ass spacers to make up the difference in the bracket width on the axles and the heim too!

You're trying to have a long arm kit built, front and rear, for a zj for less than the RC kit? Good luck.

If those 3/4" heims make it at year being used on control arms I'll be shocked. But based on what's came to light in this thread you're right on with this build. Sad...hate seeing people cheap out, ends up costing much more in the long run. To each their own.

4 link Control arms and light wheeling it would probably be fine as long as he used good ones. They may squeek but they would be good for a bit. The problem is a radius arm style longarm only has 2 joints that hook the axle to the frame. If you look at the rc kit they use 3/4 for where the 2 arms hook together and 1" joints or rubber for the rest. that would be a bare minimum in my book.

Uses good heims/cheapest budget possible = bad news. If high quality joints were used I could see a year give or take.
I agree with the RC kit being the bare minimum.
