I own this gun. Taurus Millenium PT145. I've been conceal carrying it for a couple years. Love it, but I'm actually ready for a change. Had about 200 rounds thru it. Fobus RH holster and 1 mag. Make me an offer

You've been carrying a gun for a couple years that you've only put 200 rounds through?

To the OP.. Go to a gun shop, and try out a few different ones. Remember when buying a gun you need to be able to afford to practice with it, and be able to hit the target. Right now .45 ammo is stupid expensive. What ever gun you get, practice, practice, practice with it. Once you get your CPL, practice some more. FWIW, I know a guy that had a Taurus for a carry piece. He said it was ok, but he ended up with a Glock I believe. Good luck to you!

I had a 24/7 in 40. Sold it to Dad. Not one failure in 600-700 rounds. I have a friend who has the millennium and loves it. If it fits you well go for it. I went out to silver bullet and shot numerous pistols and found the m&p series fit me even better than the taurus did, that's what I shoot now. Like Monkey Biz says, try a few before you buy and once you do practice a lot. Dont be afraid of buying the taurus, just prove it on the range before you start carrying. Good luck

I have owned the PT145 for a little over a year now and have no complaints. It took a few boxes of shells to site it in. I have put over 900 rounds through it with only one hiccup. It will not shoot the Blazer shells with the dirty aluminum casings, you will be tempted to buy them cause they are cheap-don't. Any other ammo with brass casings will work flawlessly. So far it has been free of defects and mine came with two mags and at a good price.

My wife and son's shoot it on a regular basis without issue.

when in the service i used an M9 but it's too big for me. i shot my buddies glock 17 and personally did not like it... it kept stove topping and had alot of recoil for a 9mm. i'm not set on a .45 but was just looking around. the only place i know that will let you rent a gun is double action so i'll have to look around and see what's out there.
