Hi. My name is Chris. I am president of a little club on the south side of Chicago. I am spearheading a charity build for a Chicago fireman with a disabled daughter. Since he is CFD he has good benefits and with an Allstar team of doctors and strong family base. Veronica is well taken care of and has shown remarkable progress. A few months ago she started walking on her own at the age of 2 and a half.
Our plan is to do something for Guy. He is the give his shirt off his back and not look for anything in return type of man. Besides I don't know what I would do or be able to handle if it was one of my daughters.
Over the years Guy has managed to swap a 4.0 in for the 2.5. He has 4inch sua and 35s on his 94 yj. His issues are it sits on stock axles and broke tcase. The goal is to get his rig to a point where he can handle moderate wheeling without too much worry of breakage. Therefore getting him out on the trail more often. A sort of fast forward on his build.
There is a facebook page. Project "goober". Please share, like and comment. Either Google or fb search. We are still accepting donations as well. Here is my contact info.

I regularly make the drive from The Detroit area to the Chicago area with a full size van if you need any parts transport.
I'm also interested in hearing more about your club.

Thanks. I will let you know.
Our forum is here. www.core4x4.net . We started in July of 11. There wasn't a club on south/southwest side. So some friends of mine and I started one. Some of us are members of two river jeep club which wheels on private property out closer to quincy Illinois a few times a year. Most of our wheeling takes place at cliffs insane terrain and at least one run a year at badlands. There's about 22 of us.
We are mostly blue collar guys, tradesman and such. We are all grown UPS for the most part. If anyone wants to wheel with us were cool with that. However we don't like . If someone wheels with is and they seem to fit in we ask them to join. Not to be snobby or anything it just makes things a lot smoother and keeps the down. We are the trailguides for the cliffs jeep thing event. Which was a success last year for there first event and is a pretty good deal for 3 days of wheeling, 2 night runs and camping included with dinner sat and breakfast sun for $100. I think its the weekend of July 14 this year.
We only have 2main events a year. Corefest and fall brawl. And we do the best we can. We have many members and invite only wheeling weekends cause sometimes you just want to get at it and wheel. If you know what I mean. Best thing to do is post up an introduction on the forum so we can get to know you a bit. We are an all make offroad club so its not just a jeep thing it just so happens that the majority of us have jeeps locked front and rear from 33s to 38s.
Oh. I am jackhammer on there.
Hope that kinda gives ya a feel for core.
