No pics or video but we ran it around my yard a bunch and peeled out and flexed.

to do:
spare tire tie downs
mount rear brake lights
install license plate
skid plate
vacuum line to trans
winch power wiring (plan to use remote for trip and wire in-dash later)
switch panel, run wire to trans temp gauge

For some reason the computer isn't turning on the fan. We bypassed the computer for now so we could play. I have a cheapy fan switch on the shelf from the Wag. I may install that tomorrow if I can't find a different solution. Not in the mood to listen to the fan for a week.

Tach also isn't working. It's just a cheap sunpro. Anybody do this for their swap? I'm wondering if I add the resistor if it'll work.

I spent most of the day in the garage and spent most of it wiring. All wires that are needed for next week are run. I just need to connect the tail lights and switch panel. The radiator fan switch is installed and wired, so if I can't get the PCM to turn the fan on then we have a backup.

Jim stopped by for a few hours and knocked out a few jobs, and we got the stock skid plate mostly complete before we stopped for dinner. We had to cut out some of the center section where our trans mount hangs low. It needs a little clean up and it should be good to go.

to do:
switch panel - 90% complete
skid plate - 80% complete
vacuum line to trans
winch power wiring (plan to use remote for trip and wire in-dash later)

I'll be over tonight to get the skid plate in place and any other little things like actually hooking power to the winch.

Wow, Craig's actually drove in? Excellent!

I've got one small thing to do yet. After swapping out straight links for the bent ones I see I need to adjust my steering back a little to keep the tires from binding up. Funny how that works.

John's jeep looks pretty good. I'm expecting him to kick my ass out there.

After bombing around in his back yard he told me there was nothing at your place that could challenge the new beast. Remember, he's locked front & rear on 35's.

We used my neighbor's test loop and my yard and it helped us find a few items we worked on instead of loading on a trailer or freezing while driving on the way to your place, and it was getting late and sunlight was going away quick.

Jim stopped by again tonight to try and make sure I'm done on time. I think he really wants to leave Friday night.

I stopped by Holly auto parts and picked up a stop lamp switch wiring pigtail for a budget breaking $5. That included the switch. That big investment made me want to wire up the tail lights first. When I got them done we figured out that they were always on. After screwing around with it for about 20 minutes I went online and figured out you pull the switch out and let it learn the brake position again. Worked like a champ so now I have brake and tail lights.

Meanwhile Jim knocked out a few jobs that have been on the list for a while since they suck. He mounted a trick tab for the cb antenna, finished up the skid plate, and put the vacuum line on the trans.

After Jim left, I wired in the switch panel and got that mounted. To finish off the evening I touched up some paint.

to do:
winch power wiring (plan to use remote for trip and wire in-dash later)
mount and wire CB radio, brush up on my trucker lingo
final mount seats and belts
final mount spare tire
find and zip tie license plate to spare tire
check and top off fluids

Should be a casual evening tomorrow knocking off the final stuff.

I hope your winch line breaks. And yes, I want to leave on time.
