Anyways, welcome to GL4x4. Good to see a fellow CK5'er over here. I came over here for the exact same reason. It's nice to see there are actually a few wheelers that don't live in Cali and can appreciate the value of clean sheet metal up here in the rust belt.
yes, I have an idea...

I'm on CK5 too, that's why I was giving him sh!t LOL

Stick with the Foxes, You will have a easier time finiding parts for them and they have been around and proven. I have foxes all the way around on my truck and I only hit them with nitrogen once a year, but it doesn't hurt to check them a few times a year.

Where are you planning on getting them from? Some places will custom valve them for no additional charge.

I have no idea, was just planning offline. I believe profender is a pretty good sized company. I've heard some good reviews on there stuff. The bump stops have a much bigger body than the foxes and a side by side comparison looked like they were the better choice.... Not sure though.

I'd like to find a set of used for cheaper because I plan on calving and dialing them in as I test them, so brand new isn't necessary, just gets nice shiny new parts :D

My bad. Didn't realize you were on CK5... After I had already posted my comment and actually read his reply I kinda had an idea he knew who you are... Not my first time speaking before thinking and probably not the last.

I hear more about people starting to use profender but its still a Taiwanese company that building a dealer base over here. I would stick to the big 3 (King, Fox, SAW). You will probably have a hard time finding used of any revalvable shocks in our part of the country, and by the time you ship them from cali you could probably buy new (generally get free shipping on new).
I get my shock from here: http://downsouthmotorsports.com/
Wish there were more people that can chime in on this and sorry to clog up your build.

I prefer this thread over the CK5 one too. Still is a great looking rig.

Good point. I guess I may as well go with the shocks at least. Idk if the bumps are gonna be much of a big deal. The side by side comparison looked to be quality, and $20+ less each. So thats a decent savings when you get them at all 4 corners.

Remove inner fenders up front and shock hoops welded to frame.

Rear I will try to mount most vertical as possible. If I have to inboard a small amount so be it. I'm not cutting my floor out.

Basically 30" extended

For sure. Gonna be needing shock hoops, and I'm thinkin of trussing my axles, so some Dom trusses with plate on the inside would look pretty cool I think, and be strong. I'll let you know for sure.

Gonna build the top bumper, but with the hoop and light bar from the bottom one

And this rear bumper with a beefy ass hitch receiver built in.

Are you planning on running an LED light bar with your setup? And I was gonna suggest using ford shock towers instead of hoops but with those bad boys im sure something beefier/taller is in order
