Used cars and peoples deffinition of MINT

I find it funny how people claim there car for sale is 'Mint' and then the next sentance they say its got rust on it, interior is pretty wore, ABS light is on. That is all.\

I like when they say "better than new". That's not even possible.

Maybe they mean mint as a description of the paint color?

Or people the say. "car is mostly stock" followed by a huge list of mods. The other one that gets me is people that post pictures of them beating their car, (drifting, wheeling, burnouts) Why would I want to think the car was hooned the whole time you owned it?

Any of the phrases associated with selling used cars are always pretty funny.

"Runs great!" followed by descriptions of needing a fuel pump or running a bit rough when cold.

"Drives like a dream!" followed by descriptions of needing suspension and or steering components replaced.

When I was helping my brother shop for a car for his 16 year old daughter, every car from $500 to $5000 was mint, ran great, had zero issues, was better than new, and drove like a dream.

Funny you should say this. I actually showed a guy pics. of a Cherokee that I was selling doing bad ass burnouts in the road in front of my house. He was impressed and bought the damn thing. Just showed how good it ran.

Almost every vehicle with over 150,000 miles has a 80,000 mile engine in it, or so said the last guy who owned it.
